EVENTS
KYANGALA FEST
last held in July 2023
Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire

An afternoon & evening of Music, Food & Drink held in a very kind patron’s garden. All the musical acts had a connection to the charity and gave their time generously. The food was supplied by other patrons. There was roasted lamb and seasonal salads, with beers supplied by a local brewery whilst listening to a varied selection of music. There was a large outdoor area next to the marquee where children played games.

Memory walks
An annual walk has emerged after what was a tragic event : one our beloved member’s wife died suddenly. A memory walk was initiated by her daughter, which annually brings together people, to give them an opportunity to remember someone they might have lost.
Cycle ride
Two friends cycled the length of the United Kingdom. This ride took them from John o’Groats to Lands’ End: this trip is usually undertaken the other way round, but one of the cyclists thought that it would be all downhill if they did it this way!
Ed and Luci cycled the whole way but many others joined for part of the time. The ride took two weeks and raised over ten thousand ponds for Kyangala.
Cheese & wine
We have now had three cheese and wine events, two were held in Widdington Village Hall and one was held in Dry Drayton Village Hall. We partnered with Adnams brewery which supplied the wine and Slate of Albrough supplied English cheeses.
The evenings were much enjoyed and have been enhanced by a variety of musicians.
